The largest table we can accommodate at The Library is for up to 8 guests, which is also the maximum group size permitted through our online booking system.

Please note: Guests attempting to bypass this policy by booking multiple tables for a single group may have their reservations cancelled, and no-show fees may be applied to the card used to book.
No, Mugshot and The Library are separate venues, even though they’re part of the same family. While we welcome all Mugshot guests to enjoy pre- or post-dinner drinks at The Library, you don’t need a Mugshot reservation to visit us. You’re welcome to book a table at The Library independently.
The Library is a sister venue to Mugshot, but having a reservation at Mugshot does not guarantee entry to The Library. Bookings must be made separately for each venue.
At The Library, we embrace a “formal casual” dress code. While we don’t enforce strict guidelines, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing costumes or bringing hen/stag party accessories into the bar. Hats are welcome, but for security purposes, we ask that any brimmed hats be removed upon entry.
There is no road access to St. Nicholas Street.
If you are coming from further afield and need to drive the nearest place to park is at The Galleries (which also includes parking for blue badge holders).

The Library is an 18+ venue, and under 18s are not permitted entry—even when accompanied by an adult. The only exception is during Sunday roast food service, which runs from 12:00 to 16:30 on Sundays.
The nearest taxi rank is conveniently located nearby on Baldwin Street, next to the bus station. Blue taxis are often available here on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you’d like assistance, please speak with one of our bartenders, or you can call a taxi directly from Zoom Cars 01179 555 555.

If you’ve already purchased a masterclass voucher and would like to redeem it, don’t worry—you can use the value of the voucher towards any bill at any of our venues, just like a regular gift voucher.
