FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No, Mugshot and The Library are separate venues, even though they’re part of the same family. While we welcome all Mugshot guests to enjoy pre- or post-dinner drinks at The Library, you don’t need a Mugshot reservation to visit us. You’re welcome to book a table at The Library independently.
The largest table we can accommodate at The Library is for up to 8 guests, which is also the maximum group size permitted through our online booking system.
For larger parties, please get in touch with our events team at events@roundtheclockandco.com to discuss private hire options.
Please note: Guests attempting to bypass this policy by booking multiple tables for a single group may have their reservations cancelled, and no-show fees may be applied to the card used to book.
At The Library, we embrace a “formal casual” dress code. While we don’t enforce strict guidelines, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing costumes or bringing hen/stag party accessories into the bar. Hats are welcome, but for security purposes, we ask that any brimmed hats be removed upon entry.
There is no road access to St. Nicholas Street.
If you are coming from further afield and need to drive the nearest place to park is at The Galleries (which also includes parking for blue badge holders).

Yes, from Thursday to Sunday, The Library transforms into a charming tearoom and brunch spot during the day, known as The Library Afternoon Tea Parlour. Guests are welcome to enjoy a classic afternoon tea experience or a delightful brunch in the same elegant space that later becomes The Library cocktail bar. While we primarily serve tea, brunch, and Sunday roasts during these hours, guests are also welcome to enjoy cocktails in the open, relaxed atmosphere of the tearoom. After daytime service, the space transforms into an intimate cocktail bar for the rest of the night.
The Library operates as an 18+ bar during evening service, beginning around 5:00 PM. We operate a Challenge 25 policy, so anyone lucky enough to look under 25 will need to present ID. This approach helps us maintain a mature and relaxed atmosphere for everyone.
Yes, we offer unique masterclasses focused on spirits and cocktails, guided by our skilled bartenders. Each session includes themed amuse-bouche pairings and can be tailored to specific spirits. Masterclasses are available for groups of up to 8 people during tearoom hours.
For more information or to book, please visit the Masterclass Page on our website.
The Library is part of RoundTheClockAndCo, a collective we established to unite our family-run venues, each with its own unique character and concept. Our family includes Mugshot (in both Bristol and Cardiff), The Library Tea Room, The Archive, our Asian BBQ & Hotpot restaurant, and soon our Cigar Lounge. Each venue is designed to offer a distinct, memorable experience, from speakeasy-inspired dining to authentic Asian BBQ and beyond. We’re proud to welcome guests into our extended family of venues, where quality, atmosphere, and service are at the heart of everything we do.
The nearest taxi rank is conveniently located nearby on Baldwin Street, next to the bus station. Blue taxis are often available here on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you’d like assistance, please speak with one of our bartenders, or you can call a taxi directly from Zoom Cars 01179 555 555.
